～Accelerating Support for the Electric Vehicle (EV) Market to Help Realize a Decarbonized Society～

Premium Group Co., Ltd., an auto mobility service company (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo ; Yohichi Shibata, President CEO ; hereinafter “PG”) announces that a wholly owned subsidiary, Premium Warranty Services Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo ; Kunio Saito, President CEO ; hereinafter “PWS”) and EGS Co., Ltd.  (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo : Kunio Saito, President CEO ; hereinafter “EGS”) begin offering an automobile warranty plan for electric vehicles (EVs) with two products: Premium's Warranty and EGS Warranty R+ for promoting efforts to achieve a decarbonized society toward the realization of the SDGs.

 

Our Group offers an "automobile warranty" service that provides free repairs within the coverage of the warranty in the case of a breakdown of a vehicle. Since the start of the business, we have been steadily expanding the handling of our products, with the cumulative number of contracts for automobile warranty exceeding 1 million units in January 2021.

The Japanese automobile industry has set a goal of achieving a carbon-neutral and decarbonized society by 2050, and the spread of EVs is expected to accelerate in the future. In anticipation of these changes in the industry, our group has established a plan specifically for EVs in its "automobile warranty" service. With the launch of this plan, car dealers will be able to more easily approach customers who are considering purchasing EVs, thereby expanding the range of customers they can attract. In addition, customers will be able to enjoy a more secure car life and become more familiar with the choice of contributing to the SDGs by purchasing EVs.
